While shorts and jeans are an integral part of my casual wear, I actually am the
most comfortable in skirts and dresses. I find them easy to wear, less
constricting and suitable for anywhere I go. Years ago I would never
think of wearing a skirt or dress to the park, or to run errands or
anywhere extremely casual because I would feel too "dressed up". Fast
forward a few years and I am now the complete opposite. I wear
them any and everywhere because they make things so much easier to
move around in, eat, stay cool, etc (except
for an amusement park - I get it, a pants/shorts attire is needed). I recently picked up this striped
skirt and it is the perfect shape! I find that flared skirts look great on all body types and can flatter the figure so nicely. And one can never have too many stripes in their closet (I also say this about leopard print). I wore
these (ridiculously comfortable) Schutz sandals for the first time and could have easily walked a full 8 hours straight in them. Between the pearl
detail, neutral shade and rubber sole (yes, RUBBER SOLE), these may not
make it to September because I may wear them out! I know a rubber
sole may not seem like a huge detail, but considering I add a rubber sole to every single solitary pair of shoes I own, it was a win for me! Adding rubber
soles has made the biggest difference when it comes to the wear and tear
of my shoes, and they often last me years longer than a standard sole.
Just a little tip from me to you. Trust me, your shoes will thank me.
