It's been quite awhile since I have had an all matte eye palette in my makeup routine. I was crazy about them for a long time and then went through a glowy/shimmer phase last summer with both my eye shadows and makeup. Ah, the life cycle of a beauty lover. LOL I'm sure you guys can relate.
Now after trying this new Too Faced Natural Matte Palette I forgot how much I love a matte eye. The colors in the palette are all incredibly wearable and perfect for every day, though if I'm being honest most of these shades with the exception of the 3 pale ones to far left of the palette show up a bit darker on my eyes. I tend to gravitate towards palettes that have more pale lid colors, rather than a majority of crease/liner shades. However, if you have more medium to olive skin tones, this palette would be a perfect mix of everything - highlight, lid and crease shades.
As I have come to expect from Too Faced, the shadows are smooth, richly pigmented and have little to no fall out when applying. For a price point of $38, the quality of this palette is amazing. Years ago before I had ever tested anything from Too Faced, I would shy away from their products because I assumed it was a "younger" brand and the quality may not be as good. I ate my words big time when I finally bought an eyeshadow palette from them and was blown away by how well it performed! After that, I never looked at Too Faced as a young brand again and now have a ton of their products that I have used and loved over the years.
There is also a shimmer version of this palette so if you are in your glowy makeup phase LOL, they have you covered!
