I wore this outfit last week when heading to dinner and then we ended the night at this cute sno-cone place. After experiencing one of the best sno-cones of my life in New Orleans, this paled in comparison but it was still a refreshing treat in the heat!
I love the idea of a summer sweater and this one was the perfect mix of summer yet a little thicker so that I don't freeze when indoors. If you notice the frayed hem of my jeans, I am proud to say that I did those myself! *pats self on back* The hem was way too long on these jeans when I first bought them, but loved the overall style so I didn't want to send them back. I also didn't want to pay to have a seamstress hem them, so I grabbed a pair of scissors and went to work. After cutting them to the length I wanted, I threw them in the washer and dryer for two cycles and they came out with the perfect fray! I didn't use a special pair of scissors, though I can imagine that if you have fabric shears it may be easier to get cut through the fabric. Either way, it's an easy accent to add to your jeans!
