My Recommendations From Pixi Beauty Skincare

Pixi skincare review

My love for Pixi skincare began with the Glow Tonic. It's a gentle exfoliating toner that can be used daily and I saw immediate results. It is now a product that I keep in my collection all the time and never allow myself to run out. My interest in the brand piqued from there and I was anxious to try as much skincare from Pixi beauty as I could. Here are my favorites from the brand:

1. Pixi Glow Tonic - What started my love affair with the entire brand - the Pixi Glow Tonic. It's a gentle exfoliating toner with glycolic acid that is gentle enough to be used daily. Even when my skin is at its most sensitive, I can use this. It never fails me and I recommend it to any and everyone I can.

2. Pixi Lash Nourish Makeup Remover Pads - After removing my makeup, I sometimes find there is still some remnants of mascara left on my lashes. I tried these pads as a quick final step to see if it would take away those stubborn last bits of mascara, and it was amazing. I even began using them to remove all of my eye makeup because my lashes and eye area felt so soft and conditioned after. They have become a travel staple for me as well because of how easy they are to pack.

3. Pixi Glow Tonic To-Go - I love the Glow Tonic but longed for a pad form so I could travel with it more easily. I was in Target and saw these and grabbed them immediately! They are the same strength as the liquid toner, but I actually prefer to use a pad instead of liquid on a cotton round. I figured they would give the same exfoliation but I actually find these to give a slightly stronger exfoliation than the original Glow Tonic. I recommend a patch test just to make sure your skin can tolerate.

Top: Mud Cleanser, Bottom: Mud Mask
4. Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser - My skincare routine is never complete without a good mud cleanser to help with cleaning out my skin and detoxifying my pores. This cleanser has a small amount of glycolic acid so it helps to exfoliate the skin while giving it a deep clean. Most of my previous mud cleansers have a slightly grainy feel which can irritate my skin, but this manages to be quite creamy leaving my skin feeling soft yet not stripped or dry.

5. Pixi Glow Mud Mask - Compared to other mud masks in my collection or one I've tried in the past, this one is quite gentle thankfully. In addition to the kaolin clay which helps to purify the skin, it also contains aloe vera and ginseng which helps balance and soothe the skin. I usually need to follow up mud masks with a hydrating mask to help put the moisture back into my skin, but that is not the case with the Pixi Glow Mud Mask. It leaves my face fresh, glowing, hydrated with the appearance of much smaller pores.
Pixi Nourishing Cleansing Balm review
6. Pixi Nourishing Cleansing Balm - While the mud cleanser is typically a once a week or as needed product for my skin, this Nourishing Cleansing Balm is something I can use daily. I love using it as a first cleanse to remove my makeup. If you like a cleansing balm, but don't want one that is too runny or oily, this is perfect option for you. It's quite thick and breaks down to an oil once on the face, but the texture is pleasant enough to not bother someone that doesn't like the feel of a greasy cleanser on their face. (I, of course, love a greasy cleanser LOL)
Pixi Hydrating Milky Serum review
7. Pixi Hydrating Milky Serum - Most of the Pixi skincare I have gravitated towards is more in the cleansing, toning or masking categories, but this Hydrating Milky Serum was an instant hit. It isn't too thick so my face doesn't feels suffocated, but it's rich enough to do the job. It absorbs quickly (though it's not immediate), and my skin really responds well to it. I love it in the morning before I put on my makeup because my face looks plumper and more supple after using the serum, and any makeup I apply just glides on.

Cleanser Review: Kate Somerville, IS Clinical and Colleen Rothschild

My favorite products to test - cleansers! I finally had the chance to try three cleansers that have been on my wish list for a long time. All are quite different - from foam, to gel and then a balm - there is something for everyone's preference in this post.

1. iS Clinical Cleansing Complex - It's rare that you find a cleanser which is both effective at fighting breakouts, yet still gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin types. I had heard wonderful things about this cleanser before ever trying it, so it had a lot to live up to. Thankfully it really impressed me and my skin has loved using it. It is a thin, watery gel texture that foams slightly but never enough to dry out my skin. It helps to retexturize, resurface and prevent breakouts with white willow bark, yet has numerous antioxidants that help to heal and soothe the skin at the same time. I love this as a second cleanse, and found that is has done wonders to help speed up the healing process from old acne scars. Up next, I am currently testing this other top seller by iS Clinical which many rave about for helping treat fine lines, redness, acne and hyperpigmentation.
2. Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Cleanser - While the iS Clinical Cleansing Complex is great for daily use, I prefer to keep this ExfoliKate Cleanser for a more intensive treatment 1-2x/week. It does foam up more than most cleansers I have in my collection, but my skin seems to respond very well to this. Unlike the original ExfoliKate, this is not as granular as I imagined, but has a more creamy texture which helps to hydrate my skin while also exfoliating. My skin feels softer and any rough texture virtually disappears - and as I find with so many of her products, my skin looks radiant and fresh after using. It's very different from this cleanser that I have fallen in love with from Kate Somerville, but I find that each serves a great purpose in my skincare regimen.

3. Colleen Rothschild Radiant Cleansing Balm - It's surprising that it took me so long to finally try this cleansing balm from Colleen Rothschild since I have seen it all over social media with rave reviews. Though I am a fan of super oily and rich balms, it's nice to change it up now and then. This balm as you can see from above is thick and buttery but not as greasy or oily as others I regularly use (this one is a holy grail). It breaks down my makeup easily and can even get off any stubborn mascara that I may be wearing (that is always the true test - mascara, amiright?!). I definitely need to use a washcloth or muslin cloth when removing, but it leaves my skin feeling soft, supple and incredibly hydrated. For additional Colleen Rothschild products to try, I have been loving this as a daily mist after cleansing and this oil-free moisturizer for the warm weather. AND...Colleen Rothschild is giving 20% off to all A Little Bit etc readers from 6/1-6/8. Use code: LITTLEBIT20 to receive 20% off the entire site. Happy shopping!

6 Skincare Products My Mom Is Loving Right Now

It's been awhile since my mom's last post on here, but I challenged her with the task of writing about any products that might be new to her routine that she is enjoying. She immediately came back to me without hesitation raving about these 6! Here's her review of each:
1. Tatcha Luminous Overnight Memory Serum Concentrate - I have used the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist for years and was thrilled to find this overnight concentrate helped give me that serious boost of hydration like the mist. The serum is a fun texture - a bit wobbly and bouncy, but absorbs into my skin immediately after applying. I prefer to use it in the evening, and apply a night cream over top or on some nights will make this my final step. By morning I find that my skin feels firmer and any makeup I apply glides on much smoother.

2. Tula Exfoliating Treatment Mask - I love exfoliating, and I love masks so putting the two into one is perfect for me! While many exfoliating masks make my skin feel softer, they can also leave it feeling tight and dry afterwards. This Tula mask manages to give me glowing and radiant skin while still making it feel hydrated and comfortable.
3. Charlotte Tilbury Multi-Miracle Glow Cleanser - I use this as a second cleanse, removing any final traces of makeup. I like to massage it in for 60-90 seconds and find that it makes my skin feel so supple afterward. In the colder months, I leave it on for 5-10 minutes as a treatment mask and then remove with a warm cloth. After I rinse it off, I can't stop touching my skin because it feels so soft!

4. Sisley L'Integral Anti-Age Cream - This cream is decadent and rich so I only need a small amount in the evening, but I love how my skin has reacted to this. I only began using it about 4-6 weeks ago, and can already see a difference in how supple and even toned my skin looks. I prefer to use it in the evening as my final step, warming the product up in my hands and then pressing into the skin. This layered over the Tatcha Memory Serum Concentrate has been my favorite combination right now.
5. Kate Somerville DermalQuench Liquid Lift with Retinol - Maree told me this was a unique product and she was definitely right! It comes out as a cool foam and then breaks down to a liquid. I wasn't sure I would like it at first, but Maree was raving about it for herself so I was intrigued to try it as well. I began using it in the morning under my moisturizer (currently loving this one), and it made my skin look so smooth and my pores appeared minimized after only a week of using. Because I loved the results so much, I began adding it into my nighttime routine as well and that's when I noticed that a few dark spots I had were beginning to fade. Since it is a booster, I can use this before my serum and moisturizer and it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. Though I was skeptical at first, this product turned out to be one of my favorites recently!

6. Tatcha Luminous Deep Hydration Firming Eye Serum - Applying this serum with the cooling applicator gives me such a wonderful wake-up in the morning. I had developed milia under my eyes from another eye cream, and after using this serum twice a day for a few weeks - the milia had disappeared!

Review: Sunday Riley Blue Moon Tranquility Cleansing Balm and The Organic Pharmacy Carrot Butter Cleansing Balm

Nothing makes me happier than trying out new (or new to me) cleansing balms. Between cleansing balms and cleansing oils, they are my favorite step in my skincare routine. I had been hearing wonderful things about The Organic Pharmacy Carrot Butter Cleanser for quite some time so I was thrilled to finally be able to get it on my face. Sunday Riley's Blue Moon Tranquility Cleansing Balm was just recently released, but I had heard about it earlier last year from many UK beauty bloggers. Since I am already a huge Sunday Riley skincare fan (this serum IS as good as everyone says, and this oil is amazing), I had huge hopes for this launch. Here are my thoughts on each cleanser:
1. The Organic Pharmacy Carrot Butter Cleanser - The name alone made me want to try this cleanser. Carrot Butter - hello! Get on my face. The oilier and thicker a cleanser is, the more I want to try it. This is incredibly rich, buttery and oily and feels wonderful on the skin. It did a stellar job at removing makeup, though it has quite a steep price tag so I tend to save it for my second cleansing step so I can really allow the natural ingredients like rosemary, carrot, shea butter and chamomile to get directly onto my skin. It works great for my oily skin, though the richness of the formula would make it ideal for someone with dry skin as well. I apply it with dry hands to a dry face and massage it in for 30-60 seconds. If my skin is feeling irritated or dry, I can leave it on for a few minutes as an extra treatment. Typically though, I massage it in and then use a damp cloth to remove it. It does emulsify into a gentle milk, but I have found that I definitely need a cloth to help remove all residue. Just using water is not enough to fully dissolve the cleanser, but I enjoy the added step of using a wash cloth to give a slight exfoliation. Afterwards my skin is left smooth, hydrated and incredibly calm. A perfect addition to a winter skincare routine.
2. Sunday Riley Blue Moon Tranquility Cleansing Balm - Another hit from Sunday Riley (though honestly, I feel she can do no wrong with her skincare)! Though the usage does specify that it can be used to remove makeup, I preferred to use it as a second cleanse. It did get off most of my foundation, but with certain really stubborn eye makeup, I did have to break out a stronger cleansing oil. The texture is a bit more gritty (not like a scrub, but not as buttery as a typical balm), so it felt a bit more exfoliating to me which I loved! The instructions also advise using it as a treatment mask. I leave it on the skin for 15-20 minutes and found that it really gave my skin a nice added boost of hydration. As with most of my cleansing balms, I applied this with dry hands to a dry face and massage in for 30-60 seconds. It does emulsify to a milk, but as with The Organic Pharmacy Carrot Butter Cleanser, I needed a cloth to remove it. My skin definitely felt smooth, plump and hydrated after, but it seems to have more exfoliating properties to it which made my skin more glowy and radiant than other cleansing balms. I like to use it 3-4/x since it delivers such strong results for me, and my skin has seemed much less oily when using it regularly. I do think it would be great for all skin types, even sensitive because of its soothing essential oils and chamomile. Sunday Riley continues her skincare winning streak in my eyes with this new launch. I cannot wait to see what she comes up with for 2016!

3 Gloriously Rich Cleansers to Add to Your Routine

While we all know how much of a cleanser lover I am (see past reviews here and my collection video here), my interest is especially piqued when it comes to thick, rich balm-like cleansers. I like to use them either as a first cleanse to remove makeup, or as a second cleanse to help condition and treat the skin. Here are 3 that I have recently tested that are insanely rich and incredibly decadent.
1. Sarah Chapman Skinesis Ultimate Cleanse -I am already a fan of this cult classic from Sarah Chapman, but I had yet to try a cleanser from the range. I read rave reviews on this, and it sounded like buttery rich balm heaven. AND IT IS. Holy cow! The challenge with some cleansing balms is that they are almost too thick and are impossible to move around the face breaking up makeup and dirt. This strikes the perfect balance between rich and emollient, with great slip that allows it to move all over the face easily while still cutting through the makeup and grime. (I know, gross) It's packed with rich oils as well as vitamins A and E, and is designed to deeply cleanse, exfoliating, brighten and nourish the skin. Frankly, it's heaven in a bottle.
2. May Lindstrom The Honey Mud Gentle Cleansing Silk - This cleanser (and entire line) is the closest thing you will get to having your skincare handmade for you in your kitchen. May herself sources the ingredients and looks for the most high quality, exotic and nutritent-rich materials to create products that are the epitome of luxury. Perfect example: when I received this cleanser a few weeks ago in the mail, I took it out of the box looked at the bottom of the jar and it had been made this month! WHAT?! I mean, you can't get much more fresh than that. Ok, onto the cleanser. It's a mix of honey, clay and plant oils that May describes as "pudding-like" - and it is. In the jar, it is quite dense but as soon as I put it onto my face and massaged it in, it glided over the skin easily and turned to a gentle milk when mixed with water. I prefer to use this as a second cleanse because I love the purifying elements to this cleanser, and have found that my pores look soooo much cleaner and as a result appear smaller. And on days that my skin is feeling particularly congested, I leave it on for a few extra minutes as a quick treatment mask. I know, I know...I'm such a daredevil.
3. Omorovicza Hydra Melting Cleanser -The name alone was enough to pull me in on this one. Hydra Melting Cleanser - yup, get on my face. This was a tad different from the previous two because it felt more like a mash-up of a gel cleanser and balm. I found this was nice at removing my makeup, but honestly I would not want to waste this on such a mundane task. I would rather use it as a second cleanse so it could work directly on my bare skin rather than fighting through my spackle. Since this cleanser is chock full of tons of different oils (sea buckthorn berry oil, evening primrose seed oil, apricot oil), it was no surprise that this replenished my skin almost immediately making it feel balanced and hydrated It will come in handy now that the cold weather is coming. And just like the May Lindstrom cleanser, I left this on for a few minutes on a night that my skin was feeling particularly dehydrated to help give a  nice added boost of moisture and nourishment. Afterwards my skin looked plump and bouncy. And bouncy skin is happy skin.

Emma Hardie Introduction

Emma Hardie skincare has been on my radar for months now. Maybe ever more than months, it could be years. I have heard so many rave reviews on her cult classic Moringa Cleansing Balm, and being a cleanser (and cleansing balm) fanatic myself, I knew I had to give it a test drive to see if all the hoopla was deserved. The Emma Hardie team graciously sent me one along with a few other products to test, and  I could not open the box fast enough. I am not exaggerating when I say I ran to the bathroom to wash my face immediately. Feel free to judge if you must (but I know you guys would do it too). What ensued could only be described as just shy of a religious experience.
1. Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm -You guys, the hype is real. Hype may even be an understatement. I figured this balm would be good, but I didn't know it would be this good. From the first touch, it seemed a bit different than other cleansing balms I have tried. It managed to walk a fine line between creamy and firm, and felt even better on the skin. It has a melting sensation when I rub it into the skin, and while it did a fantastic job of removing makeup, I actually enjoy this as my second cleanse. It made my skin feel so smooth and soft, that I didn't want to waste it on makeup removal and would prefer to massage into my bare, clean skin and let all those essential oils do their magic. It can even be used as a hydrating mask if left on for 10 minutes, which I tried and loved. I could not stop touching my skin the entire rest of the night after using it as a mask - it was remarkable. I hesitate to bestow the holy grail title on it this early on, but sometimes you just know. I'm still 7 months away from compiling my best of beauty for 2015, but this cleansing balm has already earned a spot on the list.
2. Emma Hardie Age Support Instant Radiance Mask - I decided to continue on with my Emma Hardie skincare lovefest and use the other products all in the same evening. So once I had finished cleansing, and doing a quick swipe of these facial pads, I went in with the Emma Hardie Instant Radiance mask. The name alone got me excited. It instantly made my skin feel hydrated and soothed, and I actually forgot I had it on because it was so comfortable to wear. After 20 minutes (I got distracted watching TV - whoopsie), I used a wet cloth to remove it and my skin looked like I had just woken up from the most relaxing sleep of my life. My skin appeared hydrated, firm, plump, smooth - basically like it had gone on vacation while the rest of me stayed home. Since then, it has quickly fallen into my "quick fix" mask category - which are masks I apply when I need my skin to perk up asap. I have had a few sleepless nights over the recent weeks, and applying this in the morning while getting ready has done wonders to help me look awake and refreshed even though I'm basically running on fumes. I shall officially be renaming this mask the 'fake it till you make it' mask. It's catchy, don't you think?
3. Emma Hardie Brilliance Facial Oil - Ugh, I love a good face oil. And now that summer is right around the corner, I appreciate a thinner texture so I can still get the benefits without it feeling too heavy on the skin. This formula contains different essential oils that help to hydrate, protect and promote elasticity. How this translated for me was my skin looked very supple and fresh each time I used it. It's a very thin formula, almost watery to the touch that absorbs into my skin immediately. It gives me a radiant finish (not oily) each time and on days that I am feeling a bit more dry, it wears beautifully under makeup.

Have you tried any Emma Hardie products? What are some of your favorites?

Changing Of The Cleansers

It is no secret that I am a cleanser fanatic. Cleansers can provide instant results, are easy to interchange in and out of almost any skincare routine and they are one of the biggest reasons I my skin has become so clear. I typically double cleanse (and plan on doing a post as to why I find this effective), so I go through quite a lot of cleansers regularly! And since I just finished up a slew of them recently (this one from Tata Harper, this one from Sunday Riley, a First Aid Beauty cleanser and one of my favorite cleansing balms) I felt there was no better time to try a new crop of cleansers.
1. Rodial Dragon's Blood Cleansing Water - It's been a while since I have used a cleansing water, and I forgot how refreshing they can be for the skin. After falling HARD for the Rodial Dragon's Blood Hyaluronic mask and it's amazing hydrating properties, I was excited to give the cleansing water a try. I find it best used in the morning or when wearing light makeup, because it definitely will not remove a full face. But that being said, it is incredibly refreshing and calming to the skin. A perfect addition to my winter skincare routine.

2. Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm - My heart will always lie with cleansing oils and cleansing balms. I truly attribute my skin's appearance to their ability to give me the most thorough and deep cleanse possible. And this Elemis Balm is another one I can add to my list of cleansing balm favorites. It's quite thick but has a surprisingly smooth and buttery feel. Once applied, it spreads easily on the skin and then after adding water, it rinses away with little to no effort. I do prefer to use a muslin cloth (or wash cloth) with it to give me an added boost of slight exfoliation. I recently decided to try it as a mask as the directions instructed, and then wondered why the  heck I hadn't been doing that all along with my cleansing balms! I applied a thicker layer and left it on for 10 minutes and my skin felt unbelievably soft after removing. This is definitely going to become a regular ritual for me now that it's colder out. Hydrated skin is happy skin.

3. Murad Renewing Cleansing Cream - My winter skin prayers have been answered with this cleanser! Holy richness! I didn't find it to completely remove all of my makeup, but as a second cleansing step it is amazing. While most cream cleansers do the standard soften, hydrate, blah, blah, blah, this cleansing cream took it to a whole other level with the light exfoliation and brightening it gives. If you can see from the above swatch, there is a slight opalescent finish that really helps to impart a nice glow to the skin. Another interesting point about this cleanser is it actually helps to protect the skin's moisture barrier and has ingredients which help attract water to the skin and retain it. Basically it's the answer to my winter dehydration problems.

4. Sisley Lightening Foaming Cleanser - I hesitate to even say this, because I have found cleanser after cleanser to contradict my feelings, but I tend not to be a foaming cleanser fan. They dry me out, give me that squeaky clean feeling (which I hate and know is NOT good for my skin) and make my skin uncomfortably tight. Welp. This Sisley cleanser can not be farther from that reality. It is absolute heaven on the skin. It's a light gel texture that foams up ever so slightly. It may seem like an odd explanation but it almost feels like its cushioning the skin as I cleanse with it - that is how delicate and soft it feels. And the fact that it has ingredients in it to help brighten and even out the complexion - that's just icing on the cake.

5. NUDE Omega Cleansing Jelly - So maybe there is something wrong with me or my tactile senses because I love when things have a gelatinous and jelly-like texture. I like it in my food (jello - yum, jelly - yum, oatmeal - yumyum, custard - get in my belly) and now I can confirm that I like it in my beauty products. I first caught wind of this Cleansing Jelly on twitter  many months ago and practically shook with excitement until it finally debuted in the US. And boy is it glorious. This does a superb job of removing makeup and giving the skin a thorough deep cleanse. It goes on as a thick jelly (make sure to use dry hands and a dry face), and then as soon as you add water it melts into the softest milk. My skin has fallen head over heels in love with this stuff.

Out With The Old, In With The New: Cleanser Edition

I just recently finished a few cleansers in the past couple weeks so it was the perfect time to usher in new ones to my routine. This one by NUDE and this one by Liz Earle were the last ones I finished and enjoyed a lot, so I was hopeful these would fare just as well.

1. La Prairie Foam Cleanser - I am not here for foam cleansers. I like milk, balms and oils but rarely do I choose a foam. They make my skin feel tight, dry and I do not like it. *stomps feet* That is until I tried the La Prairie Foam Cleanser. Holy moly, it is amazing. I had a suspicion that if anyone could do a foam cleanser the right way, La Prairie could. I tend to use it after removing my makeup, but I will say it does a great job removing makeup alone. It leaves my skin refreshed, hydrated and feeling wonderful. I am still not excited about foam cleansers but this one will forever be the exception and have a place in my skincare routine.

2. Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Oil - While I am not here for foaming cleansers, I am here for any and all cleansing oils. Occasionally I come across one here and there that don't measure up, but for the most part they are the most effective cleansers out there. Since I am already an avid user and fan of the Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm, I figured I would love this cleansing oil. And I do. It is lightweight and thin but does a stand up job of removing makeup and giving my skin a deep clean. I enjoy it so much that it has now reserved a place in my top 3 favorite cleansing oils. (this one and this one are my other faves)

3. Perricone MD Nutritive Cleanser - Another slightly foam-y cleanser that surprised me. This does not foam as much as the La Prairie for me still gets some good suds going. Being that it is from Perricone MD, you can count on it having a ton of anti-aging benefits even for a cleanser. The most noticeable result I have found since using is how firm and taut my skin feels after washing, and not in a dry or tight way. I find that it does not completely remove my makeup, so I prefer to use it after an oil or balm. But for my morning routine, it has become quite a delight to wake up and use.

4. Eve Lom Cleanser - This is a cult classic and you either love it or hate it. And yes, I love it. I know the thick grainy texture can be off putting for some people but I adore it and find that it makes my skin unbelievably soft. Some cleansers are great at only cleansing the skin but fall short in the makeup removal area but this one does both and does it well. I went to the SpaceNK website and watched the video demonstrating the Eve Lom Facial Technique which uses a muslin cloth to remove the cleanser. I have adopted this method and find that the few seconds I leave the hot muslin cloth on my face makes all the difference. It is a bit of a splurge but I do think of this acts as an exfoliator and cleanser so to me it justifies the price a bit more. Either way, I highly recommend grabbing a sample if you can and giving it a try. I think your skin will thank me.

Beauty Bits: Cleansing Oils And Balms And Why I Love Them

If you have been reading my blog for a while now, you are familiar with my undying love appreciation for cleansing oils.  I find them to be one of the most effective ways to remove my makeup, deep cleanse and keep my skin looking the best it can.  Surprisingly however, I have never mentioned cleansing balms on my blog and how wonderful they can be for any and all skin types.  So I felt it was time to join forces in a post and feature both cleansing oils and cleansing balms and rave about them both.  Being super (super) oily, I initially feared both of these mediums for the obvious reasons - oil and balm on my face? Are you crazy? But that fear quickly turned into adoration after using them and seeing first hand how great my skin began to look.  With both cleansing oils and balms, they cut through makeup effortlessly and leave my skin less oily afterwards then other cleansers.  Why is that?  The reason I have found is because when oil is removed/stripped from the face, it stimulates the sebaceous glands to produce more oil thus creating a vicious cycle.  Here is a look at some great cleansing oil and balm options:

1. Boscia Makeup/Breakup Cleansing Oil - Still new to the Boscia brand, I have tried a few of their products and they continuously amaze me each time.  This cleansing oil is both affordable and is a pleasure to use as I barely have to do any work when removing my makeup.  It's cuts right throw all my makeup layers in a second and even waterproof mascara doesn't stand a chance with this oil.
2. Tatcha Cleansing Oil (c/o) - Good ol' Tatcha - still one of my favorite brands of all time.  Their enzyme powder is my holy grail and I became a fan of their cleansing oil upon first use.  Especially when my skin is feeling a bit irritated or sensitive, I find this cleanser to give me a deep, thorough cleanse while still treating my skin with kid gloves, and leaving it soothed and soft.
3. REN Purity Cleansing Balm (c/o) - A product that both cleanses and conditions the skin in one? Yes please.  This cleansing balm easily removes makeup, especially when used with the muslin cloth included.  This is one that I often travel with because when I am away from home my skin needs something to help cleanse but keep it balanced and this always does the trick.
4. Neal's Yard Remedies Wild Rose Beauty Balm (c/o)- I am quickly becoming a fan of this UK organic brand, and I can add this cult classic to my list of favorites from NYR.  Saying this product is multi-purpose is an understatement since it can be used as a cleanser, exfoliant or rich moisturizer, and is incredibly gentle.  Dry, chapped, winter skin has met it's match in this product.
5. Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm - As still one of the strongest skincare brands in the market, Clinique will always be great for basic, effective skincare staples.  And this cleansing balm is no exception.  What applies as a thick balm, quickly dissolves into a silky, rich oil that removes makeup in a pinch, leaving skin feeling smooth and soft.  Makeup residue need not apply.
