I finally splurged on these Stuart Weitzman OTK boots last year and snagging them in this wine color was a tad out of my neutral comfort zone. For such a pricey boot, I was afraid this shade wouldn't work with enough in my closet. But then I rounded up a ton of different pieces that would look great with them and made the decision to buy them. I am so glad I did because I wear them much more than I anticipated and am surprised at how many shades can work with them. I like pairing them with basic pieces and brining in the wine color with a fun scarf as shown here and in this previous post. While I do think the boots are completely worth the splurge, there are so many other great options at lower price points from a ton of different retailers. I rounded up a great selection of flat OTK boots in the widget below.
This was the outfit I wore recently when Stan and I went sightseeing in Old Town Alexandria a few weeks ago. The area is so charming and quaint and was truly a magical place to visit - especially in the fall. We are lucky it's so close to us and plan on going back a few times in the next few months to explore more of the area. We spent a majority of the day walking down King Street and then headed over to Prince Street to take pictures amongst all the cute row homes. As you get down towards the water, the streets become cobblestone and are blocked off to traffic so you can walk around much easier. We had such a great time and highly recommend to anyone looking to visit the Northern Virginia area at some point!
