A Spring Staple: The Trench Coat

Trench Coat (under $100, also comes in blush, very similar here, more sizes here and here) | Turtleneck | Jeans | Heels (amazing under $100 option here and here) | Bag | Sunglasses (similar here)

I always think of trench coats as outfits themselves rather than just a coat. Is anyone else like this? The shape and lightweight fabric of a trench makes it easy to keep on all day without having it feel like a coat. It's probably why I am so picky about the fit and length of a trench because I wear it as my look rather than just a piece to throw on at the last minute.

I saw this one on Asos' site recently and loved how classic and crisp it looked. When it arrived, it felt even better and looked much more expensive than it is. The belt isn't very long and I prefer to tie my trench belts rather than actually use the buckle, so I made a small knot with this one.

In addition to this one, there are just about 1 gazillion (the technical number) trench coats out now. Some are real stunners while others look like major mistakes LOL. I found the best looking ones (in my opinion) and put them in the widget below!

  2. Got the rust color in size 2, hopefully it works-Many years ago I bought a orange/rust color coat from Limited-I actually hated it b/c the belt had a heavy metal buckle, which I always would get injured by when I tried to tie it-As well it didn't fit great, however I always got complimented on the color-Here in Chicago it's mostly 98% black so I liked that I had color on me, as well covered up any uh oh moments with dirt-
