What Should Be On My Vanity: Nordstrom Anniversary Edition

Nordstrom anniversary sale beauty picks
It's the most anticipated sale of the year - and for good reason! I'm a bit picky when it comes to beauty sets, but there are some of my all-time favorite products in duos or sets this year. Below are my recommendations:

1. Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel Duo - I am on either bottle 5 or 6 of this - I always have one in my collection. (read my review here)

2. Kate Somerville Exfolikate Treatment - This is quite a splurge, but it's one of the best exfoliators out there. (read my review here)

3. Hourglass Palette - I LIVE for my Hourglass palette and love the Hourglass blushes and bronzer so this palette is a great mix of all three. (read my old reviews here)

4. Charlotte Tilbury Instant Beauty Palette - I never picked up the first Instant Look palette, so I don't want to miss this one!

5. Sisley Black Rose Radiance Set - One of the best luxury face oils in my collection, and the mask is a brand cult classic. (read my reviews here)

6. Jo Malone Cologne Set - Meep! How cute are these mini bottles?! Such a great selection of fragrances.

7. Neulash Serum Duo - I am currently using this serum and am on month two. It is remarkable how much my lashes are growing! Will be reviewing soon but I highly recommend picking this up if it has been on your radar.

8. YSL Black Opium Set - I bought a roller ball of this earlier this year, and this set is really tempting. It's a warm yet spicy sent that is ideal for fall.

9. SK-II Anti-Aging Set - If you have ever wanted to try SK-II, this is the set to splurge on! (read my old reviews here)

10. Diptyque Set - Mini Diptyque candles! Need I say more?!!

11. Clarins Double Serum Set - This is a great anti-aging serum for preventive and corrective care, and for (mostly) all skin types. I constantly recommend this to anyone looking for an all around great anti-aging serum. (read my review here)

12. Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting Liquid Duo - I am never without a bottle of this in my collection. It is a necessity in helping treat and prevent blemishes. (read my review here)

There were quite a few fashion items that caught my eye this year. I picked up a few pieces already and am excited for them to arrive! I will be doing a haul video early next week with the items I receive so make sure you are subscribed to my channel. Here are my favorite items from clothing, shoes and accessories:

What Should Be In My Closet: Splurge Edition

I always love a good fashion wish list. The "if I won the lottery and could stock my closet with anything" sort of wish list. I rounded up a bunch of splurge items that I am loving and would love to have in my closet.

1. Zimmerman Eden Embroidered Dress - I have been lusting after Zimmerman pieces for more than a year now. This one has such stunning delicate detail that I can imagine myself wanting to wear it all the time.

2. Alice & Olivia Off-the-Shoulder Dress - I've seen a ton of lower priced versions of this style dress, but the fitted shape and double ruffle sleeves makes this definitely splurge worthy.

3. Dior Metal Aviator Sunglasses - There are aviators and then there are these Dior aviators. The colored inset makes them much more interesting than a standard mirrored lens.

4. Prose & Poetry Tank Top - I can see this top worn with distressed jeans, cut-offs, slim white jeans or a chic pencil skirt. It is so versatile yet still a conversation piece.

5. Thierry Lasry Sunglasses - The shape of these is quite conventional, but the clear frames make them easy to wear with any and everything.

6. Chloe Faye Medium Shoulder Bag - This. Bag. THIS BAG! If there is one splurge item on this entire list that I want the most - it is this bag. The color, the shape, the detail. It's perfection in my eyes.

7. Saint Laurent Sneakers - Leave it to Saint Laurent to make glitter stars on sneakers the chicest thing ever.

8. Nanette Lepore Lace Top - I can see this top being the perfect option for someone wanting an alternative to a cocktail dress. This will high waisted pants and the most gorgeous stilettos is the way to do wedding guest attire without opting for a dress.

9. Gucci Block Heel Loafers - There is something so striking about these somewhat frumpy high heeled loafers. And the crackled metallic finish makes them even more interesting.

10. Ramy Brook Paris Dress - The pattern, the shape, the colors - this is THE dress for a summer night out.

11. Self Portrait Strappy Lace Dress - Self Portrait is another brand I have been lusting after for the past year or more. The designs and details of every piece is like no other. This one seems perfect for year round events and I can see it being a closet staple even after 10 years.

What Should Be In My Closet: Lace-Up Shoes At All Price Points

It's official - lace-up shoes are taking over. LOL But just like the off the shoulder trend, they are slowly growing on me. There are so many great styles out now so it's easy to find something that fits my taste. Here are some of the ones that caught my eye recently:

1. Soludos Lace Up Sandals - I adore Soludos, and the detail on these sandals is just enough to make them interesting but still wearable with anything.

2. Loeffler Randall Starla Flat Sandals - Gold. Stars. Straps. Yes to all these.

3. Loeffler Randall Elyse Sandals - Straps with a higher heel can be tricky, so I appreciate that the rest of the shoe is quite simple to allow the lace-up look to be the feature.

4. Aquazzura Christy Flats - I have been lusting after these for years, and while they are a splurge, they were one of the first lace up shoes that started this whole trend. The shape of the shoe make them chic enough for dresses and skirts, while the simple solid color and flat soles allows for a casual look as well.

5. Sigerson Morrison Wedge Pumps - If a wedge, lace up sandal and pointy toe pump had a baby, this is what it would look like. And I love it.

6. Stuart Weitzman Lace-Up Flat Sandals - I like that these sandals are simply ALL laces. And it comes in a ton of different colors!

7. Topshop Nadra Sandal - These dabble in the lace up trend but only slightly so I can see these being worn for years to come. What a great classic black sandal for the summer!

8. Loeffler Randall Ghillie Flat - There are a ton of knock-offs of the Aquazzura Christy Flats, but I find that the Loeffler Randall ones are some of the best. And this shade of red is my favorite so that's why I love them even more.

9. Topshop Gladiator Sandals - A gladiator sandal that doesn't lace all the way up to your knee - yes! I can appreciate the gladiator trend, but like the understated version of this sandal so that it will still be current for many more seasons.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I am currently working on putting together some video ideas for the next month - please feel free to leave any requests or suggestions in the comments below.

What Should Be In My Closet

The official start to summer is only a few weeks away, but it is already sweltering hot where I live. So I am in full summer wardrobe mode and I'm loving tons of bright colors and pieces with lots of detail. Here are a few of my favorites from this week:

1. Mara Hoffman Field Stripe Romper - I've gone a bit off-the-shoulder crazy, but I love the trend! I was on the fence for awhile, but have really embraced it this summer. The colors in this romper are beautiful and seem like the perfect piece for summer vacations.

2. Partyskirts Palm Skirt - Palm prints are everywhere right now - and this skirt looks like something I want to wear especially in the heat. I see it paired with sneakers and a tee or dressed up with sandals and a silk tank.

3. Golden Goose Sneakers - Ok, this seems odd for me, but I am on a sneaker kick lately. I purchased this pair and this pair already this year, but have fallen in love with the Golden Goose style. Some are super distressed, but I prefer this white pair with the bright laces.

4. Elina Linardaki Penny Lane Sandals - I shall call these sandals a party for the feet. *throws confetti*

5. Wonderland Colony Sunglasses - Most of my sunglasses are brown or black, so having a clear pair would be a nice change. Plus they would go with anything and everything!

6. 7 For All Mankind Roll Up Shorts - One can never go wrong with a classic pair of denim shorts.

7. Janessa Leone Klint Hat - I purchased my first Janessa Leone hat last year and the quality is unmatched and worth the splurge. This one seems like the perfect summer straw version.

8. Ulla Johnson Reina Sandals - I fell in love with Ulla Johnson when I picked up this blouse before our trip, so seeing that she is now making shoes is a bonus! These have a boho vibe but still classic enough to dress up or down.

9. Eliza Gran Topanga Tote - Because a beach bag should never be boring.

10. Sundress Indiana Stripe Beach Dress - I used to wear an old pair of shorts and tank to the beach over my swimsuit, but I love all the cute options for coverups that are out now. The detail on the back of these dresses make it fun and playful, while the billowy shape makes it easy to get on and off.

11. Alexis Lula Dress - For a splurge, the detail on this dress is breathtaking. This would be beautiful for a bridal shower, graduation or even just for a special summer night out. The shape is classic so it won't be a trend piece, and will look great for years to come.

What Should Be In My Closet: All Things Stripes

Vertical stripes, horizontal stripes, thick stripes, thin stripes - I love all things striped! I pulled together a fun assortment of clothing, accessories and a mug that would make drinking any hot beverage more fun!

1. Solid and Striped Anne-Marie swimsuit - I don't always gravitate towards a one-piece swimsuit, but the colors in this one really appeal to me.

2. Illesteva Leonard II Striped Sunglasses - Not something I would wear everyday, but I love the look of these striped sunglasses. And the red accent adds the perfect balance of color.

3. Madewell Striped Stretch Dress - I have a similar style dress from Madewell that is a few seasons old and wear it all the time. This new version looks like it would be a closet staple.

4. Stateside Vertical Stripe Romper - I jumped on the romper bandwagon last year (remember this post?) and just picked this one up a few weeks ago. As a stripes lover, I adore this pattern and it looks super comfortable.

5. Kayu Luna Striped Woven Bag - If you can't wear a pineapple purse in the summer, when can you?!!!

6. Aurora Stripe Mug - For some reason, I have been buying up mugs recently. I love to drink hot water (I know, weird but I do) and sometimes tea, but this gold and white striped one seems like it would take my experience up a glamorous notch.

7. Kayu Pinata Fringed Woven Tote - I recently picked up the Kayu tote in the classic straw pattern, though I debated getting this fringed one too. It's not too big and the fringe detail makes it so unique.

8. J.Crew Striped Canvas Pumps - I can see these worn with a flowy white dress or even ripped jeans and a button down blouse. And at a heel height under 4 inches, my feet wouldn't have to suffer.

9. English Factory Combo Dress - I am the primary color queen (remember this post?), and I was immediately drawn to this cute striped dress with a pleated skirt that is attached!

10. Whistles Striped Knit Tee Dress - This dress has gone out of stock and come back in so many times and I never have been able to snag it! I currently have it sitting in my cart so hopefully I can grab it this time. Though it's a fitted style, I can see it worn with sneakers or flats to dress it down and make it perfect for a casual everyday look.

11. Clare Vivier Supreme Flat Clutch - Clare Vivier's Leopard Clutch is a classic and one of the most worn pieces in my closet, so this striped version seems just as wearable.

12. Sundry Dolphin Shorts - Perfect for the beach, pool or just staying cool in the sweltering summer heat - these shorts are a warm weather must have!

Another fun beauty find - Mario Badescu teamed up with Clarisonic to make this amazing set! And it contains one of my favorite cleansing gels - such a great value.

What Should Be In My Closet: Items Under $200

Happy Saturday! Hopefully it is beginning to warm up where you are (it is finally going to get and stay in the 70's this entire week - yay!), so I am now in official spring shopping mode. Here is a round-up of my favorite finds from the week all under $200:

1. Ace of Something The Arizona Large Hat - I call hats my added sunscreen, and straw ones are a must have for the warmer weather.

2. Free People Modern Kimono Maxi Dress - As someone who is only 5'4", I am always on the lookout for maxi dresses that aren't too long. Since this is more of a midi style in the picture, on me it will be the perfect maxi length!

3. Tularosa Elba Dress - The crochet pattern on this dress could go either way - too fussy and dated or adorable. Thankfully this one is the latter. And I can see this worn with some gladiator sandals and a cute crossbody bag.

4. Hat Attack Perfect Tote - I love stripes in my clothing, so handbags are no different. This large tote bag seems great for the beach as well as carrying everyday.

5. Le Specs Jealous Games Sunglasses - Sunglasses are the perfect way to add a fun and colorful element to an outfit - and these have a neutral frame with playful bright lenses.

6. Raye Layla Lace Up Sandals - A nude block heel sandal is a must for spring and summer, and the added lace up detail makes these a bit more unique.

7. Levi's 501 Shorts - The color, the shape and the frayed edge make these the perfect pair of classic cut-offs.

8. BB Dakota Ferell Dress - Chambray tops are a year round staple for me, so a dress version is another great option to enjoy this lightweight fabric.

9. Free People Melanie Printed Mini Dress - What's spring and summer without a comfortable floral dress? Ankle boots, sandals or even heels - this dress can be dressed up or down for any occasion.

10. Star Mela Elsa Clutch - Serious handbags are a necessity for fall and winter, but I love a fun printed clutch or tote for spring and summer.

Also here is a look at a few great sales going on these next few days:

What Should Be In My Closet: Spring Sandals

Sandal weather is here (which means blister weather is as well LOL), and there are so many great styles I've come across over the past few weeks. Here is a round-up of the ones that I loved the most:

1. Soludos Espadrille Sandals - I love Soludos and they have really expanded their assortment over the years. These would be adorable paired with a flowy white dress or denim cut-offs and a classic white tee.

2. Michael Michael Kors Wedge Sandal - Maxi dresses need a great wedge sandal and these are definitely high enough to wear with dresses that need a bit of a lift.

3. Sam Edelman Gigi Flat Sandals - I love the simplicity of these sandals, and they come in almost every shade imaginable.

4. Loeffler Randall Suze Sandals - While the previous sandals are the epitome of simplicity, these are a party for your feet.

5. Nine West Ankle Strap Sandals - One of the most versatile pair of sandals in the bunch, I see them being worn with a casual sun dress or dressed up for a night out.

6. Dolce Vita Ghillie Sandals - Gladiator sandals are still on trend, but sometimes they can be a bit too busy. This is a take on the trend but a bit less busy and more classic.

7. J.Crew Striped Strappy Sandals - Anything striped I want to wear - and these blue and white striped sandals are quintessentially J. Crew. Jeans, dresses, shorts - there is not much that won't work with these sandals.

8. Charles by Charles David Lace-Up Sandal - Major sass with these sandals, but since they come in a neutral shade it's not as intimidating.

9. Soludos Espadrille Wedges - Metallics are a neutral in my book so I would wear these wedges with almost anything in my closet. Bonus that they are a manageable height.

What Should Be In My Closet: Spring Dresses

The thing I am most excited for in spring: wearing dresses! Without tights! Here are some of my favorites that I found this week.

1. RahiCali Mini Dress - I'm not the biggest fan of baby blue, but this shade almost looks like a pale chambray so it appeals to me. The detail however is what I love about this dress - the sleeves and hem make it so interesting!

2. 1.State Openwork Mesh Dress - I can never pass up striped anything! And this cute off-the-shoulder dress looks comfortable and feminine.

3. Wayf Blouson Midi Dress - I used to think that midi dress or skirts were only for those blessed with great height, but at 5'4" I have come to love the look of the midi style. This looks perfect for a weekend of shopping and brunching. It also comes in white which is ideal for early spring.

4. Cooper & Ella Cold Shoulder Dress - This looks like the cutest date night dress. And with flat sandals, a denim jacket and cross body bag is also suitable for running around during the day.

5. Socialite High Neck Dress - This dress is under $40 and looks like the most comfortable dress up here! Basic stripes never go out of style and while the model is wearing it with ankle booties, I can see it with sneakers and a denim shirt tied around the waist.

6. Chelsea28 Crepe Shift Dress - While I love a good print, it's nice to have a few dresses in my closet that feel suitable for just about any occasion. I love this gorgeous melon shade, but it also comes in black which would make it great for transitioning into the fall again.

7. Eliza J Bell Sleeve Fit & Flare Dress - I have seen this dress all over the blogosphere and absolutely adore it! The detail and shape makes it look so feminine and I can see this being a big hit for showers, easter or any occasion that calls for a more dressy attire.

8. Plenty by Tracy Reese Midi Dress - This print made me stop scrolling immediately when I was looking online this week. The blue is so vibrant and the print drew me in instantly. Again this is a dress that I can see styled with strappy sandals and a clutch for an evening out, or wedges and a straw hat for casual errands or shopping.

I am working on a spring fashion favorites video very shortly so stay tuned for that! This dress and this dress that I just picked up will both be making an appearance in it because I think they are perfect for spring.

What Should Be In My Closet: Black Friday Sale Edition

While I still have my list of gifts I have to get this season, I can't help but grab a few items for myself with the ridiculously crazy sales. Above is a look at some pieces that have caught my eye and ALL ARE UNDER $150!!! I know, I know. It's almost as if they are paying us to buy these things. Ok, that's a bit of a stretch, but some of the above items are such great steals that it feels that way.

I have also rounded up additional sales and great deals from some of my favorite retailers:

10/8/15

What Should Be In My Closet

Can't. Stop. Shopping. For. Fall. Clothes. This season more than years prior (though I probably will say this next year too LOL), I have seen a ton of great pieces that I want to add to my fall wardrobe. Here are a few that I have my eye on that would be great additions.

1. J.O.A Plaid Dress - Between the shape and pattern of this dress, this looks perfect for fall. Add a shearling vest or parka or chunky sweater and it's a great look.

2. Sam Edelman Petty Lined Boots - I always struggle with finding warm footwear each winter and these look perfect. Great shape and style, but lined with fuzzy shearling.

3. Madewell Cross Body Clutch - This. Color. It's the perfect shade of burgundy.

4. Madewell Field Parka - I have had this in my cart on Madewell.com for a few weeks, and I think I may finally pull the trigger. It looks casual yet still nice enough to dress up and wear to work if I need to.

5. Petit Bateau Striped Turtleneck - One can never have too many striped turtlenecks.

6. Blank Denim Faux Leather Leggings - Faux because real leather pants are just too insanely expensive, amiright?

7. Kate Spade Loafers - Anything shiny and patent leather I want to wear in the fall. And these look like a good mix of masculine and feminine.

8. J.O.A Fringe Sweater - I love this take on the standard cable knit sweater.

9/4/15

What Should Be in My Closet

It's been quite awhile since I've done a fashion round up post of some of my favorite finds so I figured it was time since fall is around the corner. Here are some great basic staples that I would love to add to my closet this year.

1. Vince Wrap Coat - Living in a city that has a brutal winter, coats are a necessity. And because it becomes the entire outfit, I love a coat with some detail. This wrap coat looks super cozy and the leather detail adds a nice touch.

2. Bobeau Cowl Neck Sweater Dress - I live in sweater dresses all winter long. They are so comfortable and are often a blank canvas to dress up with accessories and a great outerwear piece.

3. Madewell Leopard Flats - They are flats that are leopard. Need I say more? Ok, maybe I'll say a tad more. I prefer a pointy toe over a round toe and these would look great with just about anything in my closet. And though they may be a great buy for fall, these are definite year round winners.

4. Loeffler Randall Tote - I am on the hunt for a new tote bag for work and this one from Loeffler Randall seemed fun and different from most of the boring totes I come across. And it comes in black too!

5. Rag & Bone Fedora - In the summer, I love a good straw fedora so in the winter that translates to a wool one. I am not a fan of the huge floppy hats (I mean J. Lo can pull that off, not me) so this brim is just wide enough to give some protection from the wind/cold but not insinuate that the paparazzi should be following me.

6. Topshop moto jeans - I have heard amazing things about Topshop jeans so I definitely plan to pick up a pair this fall. The price point is good and the distressed detailing at the knee is just enough edge for me.

7. Lovers + Friends Sweater - The first thing I start pinning in the fall are big chunky sweaters. This seems oversized but not enough to drown me in wool. And a turtleneck is always my preferred neck style when it comes to sweaters.

What are you excited to buy this fall? Have you picked up anything? Let me know if the comments below!

What Should Be In My Closet

The warm weather finally hit NYC this past weekend and I am in the mood to buy all the spring dresses. Here's a look at a few that caught my eye this past week.

1. Eight Sixty Crossfront Dress - It looks like a romper, but surprise it's a dress! Either way - romper or dress - I would wear it.

2.  Line & Dot Wonder Tied Dress - A straw fedora, flat metallic sandals and this dress! Though I don't have a bike - I picture wearing this dress as I bike through the countryside to an outdoor picnic. (and note: I don't live in the countryside, but a girl can dream, right?)

3. Stuart Weitzman Patent Leather Wedges -There is not a single dress on this entire page that won't work well with these sandals. They are a summer staple.

4. Equipment Michaela Floral Dress -I have an Equipment dress in a leopard pattern and adore it! This floral number seems like the perfect spring version.

5. Topshop Satin V-Neck Dress - The structured shape of this dress is what drew me in immediately. It seems like it would flatter any figure and could be worn casual or dressed up for evening.

6. K. Jacques Cunegonde Strappy Wedges - Another summer staple - neutral wedge sandals are a must!

7. BB Dakota Gerrit Chambray Dress - I live in chambray shirts year round, so a chambray dress sounds like it's right up my alley.

8. Yumi Kim Elana Dress - I fell in love with Yumi Kim designs when I wore this romper in Costa Rica. And the pattern and color of this dress screams "Wear me on your next vacation!" Though I don't have one planned, maybe buying this will make me book one. Ha! Wishful thinking.

What Should Be In My Closet

Winter finally got the hint and is beginning to hit the road. And to celebrate, I am beginning to think about all the fun stuff I can wear now that it's beginning to warm up. Ok, I guess the sandals is pushing it a bit, but I have to be prepared for when summer finally DOES get here, right?! Here's a look a some of my favorite finds from over the past few weeks:

1. Free People Lucky Lossey Dress - I am not typically a boho style gal, but this Free People dress seems so effortless and breezy that I think I would wear this all spring and summer.

2. Ray-Ban Mirrored Matte Classic Aviators -I have the classic Ray-Ban aviators but the colored lens make these seem a tad more exciting.

3. Sam Edelman Petty Suede Booties -As if I don't already have enough ankle booties, I saw these and thought "these would be perfect worn with that cute Free People dress I've been coveting!" See? I am already creating a whole look around that dress.

4. Frame Denim Le Colored Ripped - Skinny jeans. Yes. Distressed details. Yes. White denim. Yes. Basically these are the perfect jeans.

5. RAILS Carter Button Down -I don't need another chambray shirt, but I swear mine is about to fall apart because I wear it so much. And plus, those white distressed jeans need something to go with them.

6. Soft Joie Sweater -I love the look of a sweater with a blouse underneath, but I absolutely HATE the feel of the two layers together. It's bulky, often quite constricting and fussy. This shirt combines both in one - genius! It's a sweater with the added details of the collar and hem. I shall be layering this way going forward.

7. Splendid Crete Flat Sandals -I am not sure I have ever seen a more perfect nude sandal. I can see these with sundresses, shorts, jeans - just about everything and anything.

8. Jonathan Adler Large Pouch - Because my spring and summer wardrobe just isn't complete without a brightly colored clutch.

1/21/15

What Should Be In My Closet

I am not happy that there is still many more months left of winter, but I can't change it so I just have to deal with it......and just keep shopping. *just keep shopping, just keep shopping, just keep shopping* (sung to the tune of Dory in Finding Nemo's song 'Just keep swimming') Ha! Here is a round up from the past few weeks of my favorite finds that need to be in my closet:

1. Current Elliott The Boyfriend Jeans - I have a ton of skinny jeans in my collection, but nothing says comfort like a roomy pair of boyfriend jeans. And these seem to have the perfect amount of distressed details.

2. Unif Cardigan -I struggle with layering pieces in the winter because sometimes a sweater and a coat are just not enough. Adding in a heavy cardigan coat could be the answer to helping me deal with the brutal NYC winter. And not to mention, this pattern is absolutely perfect.

3. Wonderland Sunglasses - Tortoise shell for sunglasses is the equivalent of leopard print for clothing - it's a neutral in my mind and goes with just about anything.

4. Rails Hunter Button Down - I love a buffalo check print and this bold pattern would get so much use in my wardrobe. Whenever the weekend comes, I always gravitate towards a comfy plaid shirt and jeans to run my errands.

5. DV by Dolce Vita Booties - Sometimes a variation from my standard black and dark brown boot preference is needed. And since I love wearing white jeans all year round, this would go perfect with them and pastel accessories.

6. Wilde Heart Varsity Sweater - It may be a knock-off of the original Rag & Bone sweater, but at a fraction of the cost. I love the oversized slouchy look of this piece and think it would work well with jeans for a casual look or even a pencil skirt for an office appropriate combo. If the v is too deep, a white or black cami can always come in and save the day.

7. Stuart Weitzman Reserve Tall Boots - I purchased a pair of flat Stuart Weitzman boots many years ago and have just about run them into the ground. I figured it is time to replace them and I have had my eye on these Reserve boots for quite a long time. The added feature of the elastic back makes it even more appealing to me because I know they will fit my leg perfectly and comfortably.

8. Rag & Bone Devoe Coat - I am not typically a pink fan, but this shade of blush is absolutely breathtaking. It's a bit of a splurge item, but one that I can envision wearing for the next 10 years.

What Should Be In My Closet

Now that the holidays are over, it's time to spend those gift cards, right? And since there are always great after-Christmas sales, I figured I would show you some of my favorite finds from the web this week.

1. Kate Spade Clutch - I love a novelty clutch and Kate Spade always does the best ones.

2. Club Monaco Hat - What's better than your average boring beanie? A bedazzled beanie, right? Club Monaco is always my go-to place every season for the best accessories. In the winter, I get the best beanies and pom-pom hats, and in the summer I always find the cutest straw fedoras and floppy hats.

3. Joie Barlow Booties -I am not a believer that booties are only for the winter, as I typically wear mine year round. And these flat boots are perfect for almost any outfit.

4. Sanctuary Jacket - Perfect as a layering piece for the winter, this military style jacket will then be just the right weight as the weather transitions into the spring season.

5. Giles & Brother Large Archer Cuff - Giles & Brother has been a favorite brand of mine for a long time now. I have two of their bracelets and am always wanting another. Not too feminine or masculine, their designs are easy to dress up or down. And this rose gold cuff is the perfect piece to treat yourself to in the new year.

6. A Gold E Jeans - One can never have too many distressed skinny jeans, right? And these don't have too many rips that you feel silly buying them, and the color is great for day or night.

7. Blaque Label Faux Leather Skirt - If there is one item you need to own for the fall and winter season, it is a black leather or faux leather midi skirt. I absolutely live in mine and find that it will transition into the warmer weather just as well.

8. Asos Jacquard Dress - Even though the party season is over, this dress is still a must have for any special occasion. The fit of the body and the flare of the skirt make if a flattering silhouette for so many body types.

9. Asos Chunky Jumper - Who doesn't need another cozy sweater, right? This is a bit more casual and slouchy, so I would love to pair this with a pair of faux leather leggings or skinny jeans to balance out the proportion.

What Should Be In My Closet

Ok, fall is finally here and I have to deal with it the only way I know how. With some shopping! I'm not a fan of pants to be honest, but I feel I need more of them in my wardrobe since I can't wear only tights and a skirt every single day. But if I am going to wear a skirt, I am enjoying the midi length right now. I just picked up this one from Nordstrom Topshop and think it is perfect for the colder weather! And because I love the Nordstrom Topshop section, can we discuss this dress? OMG. I need a tea date stat to wear this to! Ok, back to the task at hand. My finds from this past week! Click on each link for more details.

What Should Be In My Closet

Fall is coming whether I like it or not, so I guess I should start thinking about my fall wardrobe. Hmphhhh. I love fall clothing but the price of fall clothing? Not so much. Summer is so much easier on my budget. But I normally pick out a few pieces that really catch my eye and then wait for them to go on sale. I did a recent post on this and my other tips for building a great closet - you can read it here. These were my favorite finds from around the web this week - as you can see I am feeling a lot of neutrals, animal prints and a great faux leather skirt. Click on each item for more information.

What Should Be In My Closet: Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Edition

Is there any other sale going on when the Nordstrom Anniversary sale is happening? *crickets* That's what I thought. It is the mother of all sales for clothing, beauty, accessories, shoes, bags, etc and I have had my browser open to the Nordstrom website non-stop ever since they granted access to all non-card holders (that includes me). We can get to clothing in a second but I think a quick mention of some beauty highlights from the sale is in order.

The fact that this Charlotte Tilbury set is available gives me hope that the rest of the line is soon to come. NARS always does some of the best Nordstrom exclusives and this Schiap lip & nail set has caught my eye (it also comes in a Dolce Vita set), along with this NARS Cheek Palette. If you didn't already know, the Kiehl's Creme de Corps line is my holy grail for body products and this jumbo size is an amazing value while the Whipped Body Butter in a new Lavender scent sounds delectable. You guys know I swear by Perricone MD Blue Plasma so I highly recommend picking up this set which is basically anti-aging in a box! I love using toner pads so these from Arcona are great to add to your routine after cleansing but before your other treatments. Finally, I am not that much of a hair product aficionado, but I've read great reviews about the Living Proof Perfect Hair range so this set is currently sitting in my cart. Now that I have sufficiently helped you navigate the beauty section, let's look at what should be in my closet.

3. DVF Zarita Lace Sheath Dress (this is one of my absolute favorite "wedding guest" dresses - see me wearing it here)

What Should Be In My Closet

I feel like this is the summer of crop tops. Though I've seen them for past seasons, they seem to be more prevalent than ever before. Topshop has some of the cutest selections I've seen, often with skirts and shorts in the same pattern to create a matching set. In addition, I can't get enough of the lower stacked heel sandal which in my opinion is the most stylish way to wear a heel while still being comfortable. Nordstrom is one of my favorite places to shop this style because of their great selection (and great prices to be honest). I'm also drawn to more colors and patterns this year than previously, so I can't help but want to fill my closet with each one I see. Here is a look at my top selections from around the web this week. Click on each item for more info:

What Should Be In My Closet

Between Nordstrom's new beauty arrivals, Shopbop's new clothing arrivals, and tons of other stuff I want - my wish list is overflowing. And then there are the Friends & Family beauty events that lure me in as well, YSL and Armani being two of my top faves. As if that wasn't enough, one of my favorite subscription box services, Glossybox (frankly it's the only one I like) released the cutest box for July in collaboration with C.Wonder. It included a mini beautyblender, which is reason enough to get the box! I posted a pic on Instagram if you want to see the contents, and you can sign up here for a subscription. But back to my closet (and what should be in it), these are some of my favorite finds from around the web. Click on each link to shop it.
